against Alabama all season! Think about that. The best DL in the United States I will almost guarantee you was held more then THREE times.

Oh and on top of all of that Alabama was called for the most penalties in the SEC.

that is odd, I always found it odd how we didn't get more holding calls when we had a dominate dline.

We racked up more fricking penalties this year than any I can rememeber. Saban fielded a very undiciplined team this season. Off-sides/false starts/block in the back/PI calls were unacceptable and it pisses me off.

Nah...no need. Someone else will look it up and create yet ANOTHER THREAD with the answer to that.

Mega thread needed ... Wasn't a late hit, wasn't PI, Muschamp penalty, holding, wet field.

Jesus. Help us.

He's not right on Bama being the most penalized in the SEC.
Here's the penalties per game list.

LINK

Bama is 12th worst out of 14 teams. LSU and Florida are the only teams worse than Bama. Florida is virtually a tie (6.3 vs 6.6 a game) but LSU is significantly worse at 7.9 a game.

I can't find holding specifically, but Bama's opponents were flagged for 75 penalties this season. Through 12 games, it was a wash. Bama flagged 76 times for 710 yards. Bama opponents flagged 75 times for 585 yards. The yardage total offers anecdotal evidence that Bama's opponents were flagged for less serious offenses because the average per flag is only 7.8 yards compared to 9.5 yards for the flags thrown on Bama.

You misunderstood his post.

He said that Bama's opponents were only flagged for holding 3 times and he finds that suspect given the quality of Alabama's defensive line.

Yes, thank you. And I saw a tweet that 1 was against Wisconsin and 1 was from another non conference game. Only called holding against a team bama was playing 1 time in conference.

I find that hard to believe considering they had the best front 7 in cfb
