While that same 15 million could help a hell of a lot of people especially during the Holidays.
Giving a millionaire 15 Million Dollars for not winning enough big games while kids in Louisiana are going hungry, no decent clothes, kinda make you scratch your head....

He won't get near that. The real buyout is reduced by his current salary so it's $11 million and it gets further reduced by his salary at his next job and he has to make a good faith effort to find employment. If he is let go, the reality is LSU will pay very little of the buyout.
That being said, LSU football is big business and the product suffers when a team isn't winning which = less revenue. That buyout could make LSU more money if they hire a coach that gets them into the playoffs quickly. It's strictly a business decision if you look at it that way.
