Praying with Nick Chubb on the sideline.

There is no question, he is a good man.

Actually Chubb was praying for him, because he knew they couldn't win without him.

Good man, yes. Good football coach? DK. He's the kind of man I'd like to have coaching my son's high school team. Beyond that, he just can't seem to get it done.

Mark Richt is my hero. He fields perennially soft teams for the championship game and is a lover of moral victories.

Richt is the Bear Bryant of praying. He's the Lombardi of telling parables. He's the Knute Rockne of quoting bible verses.

He's 4-4 against LSU and 3-2 agianst Miles. Kinda weird how richt has a winning record aginst just about every other SEC team yet people act like he's derek dooley or something.

don't think I said anywhere that richt is awesome. Just pointing out how stupid it is that everyone says they "love" him becuase he's an easy win....yet hardly anyone actually has a winning record against him

He is no doubt a good coach and a great man. He is also just as surely not a great coach. Now is not the time to get rid of him. If he doesn't get it done with this new OC over the next few years he will retire anyway.

The OP's thread was referencing his character, not his coaching abilities. Long after everyone here & throughout college football has forgotten, he & his wife are still helping the Southern U. player who broke his neck & has is basically paralyzed except for his upper body.

No one did..it's the opposing fans who seem to think we believe he is..that's who that was for..UGA fans know who Mark Richt is and for the most part are ok with him. He deserves this last chance to revamp his program.

Keith is gonna be able to help Chubb out so much over these next few months

There is that Barner class.

Richt runs circles around that high school coach you have.
