It takes a remarkable man to get fired from a job that he's already quit.

agree - pure speculation but IMHO if BB starts the past season, Bama is untouchable - all of the WR talent was wasted - I think the Hurts/Barnett decision was Saban - Kiffin has tried to recruit BB to FAU - he knows potential when he sees it.

But BB DID start the season. Do you mean stick with him until he came around, regardless of Jalen's performance?

Lane was obviously trying to sabotage the NC run for bama after Saban totally emasculated him by yelling at him on national TV, ruining any chance of him landing a HC job at a major program in a power 5 conference.

Lane was even more furious when a player (I think it was Jonathan Allen) openly mocked him in an interview talking about how funny it was when he got screamed at in practice. He knew then that his time at bama was a waste and that he would have to accept a pay cut and start at the bottom of the head coaching ranks at a school like FAU.

Why do you think Lane acted out as he did in the final weeks/days of his tenure at bama? Serious question.

Yeah, coordinating an offense to three straight playoff seasons. What a waste.

Kiffin's stints with the Raiders, UT and USC had more to do with him not getting a big name job than Saban's arse chewings, IMO.

That's pretty outlandish.

Just Lane being Lane is why he got no big name offers.

Sooner or later, someone will take the risk. And then be surprised when the snake they picked up bites them.
