You're probably right but Alabama will claim the playoff appearance anyway

There's only been TWO playoffs.

Seriously, if we were in year, say, 10 and it had been all Bama, then yeah - this would have some merit.

This is college football. 2 is a big enough sample size to speculate the next 20-30 years easy.

After LSU with Aranda redo the shutdown LSU did to Bear during his last season at bama we'll see Saban retire and a power shift
