Would be impressive to win 10 out of a possible 9 (8 not including SECCG) games every year.
It came within one game of happening in 2011.

With 16 more wins Spurrier will become the only coach in College Football history to win over 100 games at two different FBS schools.
Does he stay at SC long enough to do so?
Has a good chance of breaking this record. Would have to be undefeated in conference play for the next 2 years (age 72) to make this happen; or spread it out over the next 3 or 4 years, (age 74) winning at least 6 conference games a year.

With 28 more SEC wins, Spurrier will tie The Bear for most SEC wins. (Entering this season Spurrier has 131 and The Bear 159)
Does he stay at SC long enough to do so?
Will be harder to accomplish, but is doable. Spurrier already has more conference losses than Bryant, though there's no ties in play now.
Spurrier would have to go undefeated for 3 1/2 years to tie Coach Bryant in conference wins. Spurrier would be about 73/74 years old.
Spurrier winning 6 conference games in 5 years would also break Bryant's record. Spurrier would be about 75 years old.

Miles' record has leveled off in recent years. He'll go down as one of the best SEC coaches historically as of now. Depending on what happens in the next two years, he can solidify himself among the greatest with another conference title and/or national title.
I don't think he stays around long enough to rack up the sheer volume of wins that Fulmer, HBC, etc. have; he seems comfortable enough to step away after a few more seasons and move into an admin role. But if he can make 2015-2017 special, his win % and trophy case will be hard to match.

And finally, can Les catch Fulmer and Shug?
Probably not... even though I see him averaging north of 6.5 conf wins from here on out, I don't see any way that he stays coaching another 12-14 seasons like those guys did.

Play in the SECCG. Then play an SEC school in the playoff.

FWIW, I think Richt sticks around for about 5 more years and ends up in the top 5. The staff he currently has assembled is recruiting better than any other time in Richt's tenure and I think it has reinvigorated him to an extent.

We're talking 16 games total, not SEC games ... so if he only wins 8 each of the next two seasons he hits 100 total at SC.

Spurrier does not have more conference losses than Bryant because Bryant has 9 ties which count as 4.5 losses.
Spurrier needs 28, or 29 whatever, I can't remember ... SEC wins to tie or break Bryant's SEC win record and he's done it in far fewer years because he's played more games per season than did Bryant.

I could see saban following spurriers path and putting in 12 years. He wants a playoff title, you can be assured he won't retire until he gets it. His wildcard is auburn with gus. The iron bowl is must win for him. If he loses a couple it will get heated. The ib will be epic. They will talk about this decade as the golden years of the ib for centuries. Will be must see tv
Spurrier will get his 100 but i don't see him catching bear. His accomplishment with 100 games will be top notch though. Hats off

I believe killz may have summed it up once in MS Paint.

I think he was at UK 9 years as he never beat the Vols there and just under a decade sticks in my mind as MD + UK = 1 decade.
37 seasons may be UM + UK + TAMU + Bama

SEC used to only play 6-8 conference games a season. Records should start to fall with more games being played now.
This
The SEC used to only play 6 conference games in the 1950-early 1970s. Some teams even played 5 games or some played 7 games. So...even when catching up with legends, it is prudent to remember the disparity in eras.
Spurrier could coach another 5 years....maybe 6, but if he is successful and has breaks fall the Cocks way? He will have to recruit better talent and keep staff intact for the most part.
