because of the NCAA problems. The NCAA will look at this as them being stubborn and only firing him, by their own admission, for reasons aside from the NCAA troubles.

If they threw him to NCAA, they would be more likely to mitigate.

This shows LOIC for not knowing this earlier (or releasing it and firing him).

They still get 25 over 4 and a 2 year bowl ban.

Likely, but this shows more incompetence, or worse, ambivalence.

Though the "for cause" is the escort calls,so I can see where that would be confusing.

Yeah, I'm thinking if they had fired him for recruiting violations (which he's almost certainly guilty of) that would have dampened the NCAA's zeal to teach a lesson. This nonsense has nothing to do with any violations, so I can't see that it helps Ole Miss with the NCAA at all.

That's what I've been thinking. Seems like throwing freeze to the wolves while ole miss is still denying until that place burns. If you are gonna do this, make him the scape goat and try and salvage what you can of a team. Bizarre to me

Yep this is totally a sep issue. I still think a lot of people there need to be fired and a total house cleaning to satisfy the Ncaa. From rogue boosters and rigged grades etc, and then the University still trying to spin and throw others under the bus while trying to cover the names of boosters. Whether Freeze called escort service or not, the Ncaa saw defiance coming from Ole Miss from the very start.
