28 total violations
13 football violations
11 during current HC's tenure
* 3 ineligible players for 4 seasons with falsified ACT scores
* Continued to flaunt cheating while being watched by the NCAA starting in 2012 (Women's Basketball)
* During summary, passes blame to the ACT testing organization for its own coach cheating
* During summary, brags about how much it spent to uncover its own cheating
* Basically tries the, "It's only a booster, it doesn't count" method. Irony pending.

Presents NCAA with self-imposed penalties of:
11 scholarships over 4 years - meh
Self-imposed fine of $154,325 - meh
Reduction in visits around 10-12% of total visits - meh

This is not the kind of negotiation where it's wise to lowball

Don't forget the part where they spent 1.5 fricking million dollars to cover up cheating. Hope the whole place burns to the damn ground, holy shite what a waste of my money.

They have to reserve some options for self-punishment when the Tunsil stuff is sorted out.

None of this happens if Ole Miss doesn't low ball Tunsil on his mom's light bill.

But...but...but, we were told all this was pre-Freezus. Does this mean we were lied to?

This will be a great test to see how much power the NCAA has these days. If OM skates by then I hope more people take notice and start following their lead.

I thought Houston Nutt was responsible for all of the stuff that isn't even true anyway. Did it come out that this wasn't all part of Houston Nutt's plan to go 0-8 in the SEC?

If some of y'all could take an arse-kicking like a man and not be crybabies then we wouldn't have had to spend any money on this petty crap. NOTHING in this NOA has given us a decided advantage. Get better or get the F out of the way.

Yeah, this level of violations could redefine the sport. It is clear Ole Miss did not give a frick, which means that is what is incentivized. If the NCAA doesn't go beyond the self-imposed sanctions this will open the floodgates for this behavior.

Hey bud, you know that Bama had to self report 13 violations a year ago. Not all violations result in stiff punishment.

Media is hammering that point. They knew it wasn't pre freeze. Lied about that for recruiting purposes

No way OM gets off that light. They are going to lose some bowl games. And a lot more than a dozen scholarships.

I took a peek at the recruiting rankings, now that all of this has come out, I see Mississippi in a more traditional place in the rankings. Funny how that works.

Hey bud!! Did you know that this is a 154 page response! That your paid OT stated on national tv he was paid! All of that after the ncaa was trying to finish the the investigation by issuing a NOA?

Major, MAJOR difference in self reporting minor violations. Come on Gnash, you're supposed to be the level headed Black Bear here

It's not even the nature of the violations, but the way OM plays them off in the letter.

"See how much money we spent uncovering our own cheating?"
"See how it's really the ACT's fault our coach got away with cheating?"

Funny the OM fans saying, "Take your beating like a man" while crying about how they shouldn't get spanked for breaking the rules.

Hey, if letting one of your players stay on the couch a few nights somehow helps you win then maybe you should do it. Or not. But that's not the reason certain teams have been getting rolled by Ole Miss. Maybe they just need to convince themselves that's the case.
