Seriously not trying to flame. Just asking something that was told to me earlier today. My neighbor is about as hard core OM as they come(former player, alum)& very prideful about his Rebs. He's now a Secret Service agent. We're always talking football & he stopped me while I was cutting grass & said "Sooo, we're done". He was talking with a former colleague of his in the SS that is now an NCAA investigator. He said there's something brewing that may get them an even bigger hammer with donte moncrief and some booster that gave his whole family jobs. Can't remember the boosters name.

Is giving jobs to family members of players "illegal" by NCAA standards? How can u prove that's why they got the jobs? Just wondering, if true, is it THAT big of a deal?

Knemdiche's father was hired by the University and everyone knew it. I think it would be more illegal to not hire someone soley because their kid is a student athelete. Would probably fall under some sort of discriminatory thing.

I don't know all the ins & outs of this shite. Just asking a Q. I'm sure it's frowned upon. But can it really be proven that they only got the job cause of football. Lol, maybe if it's obvious like "the whole family" like he's sayin

Pretty sure that didn't end up happening. Even though he was more than qualified.

People from the area have known about the Moncrief shite for years. Doubt anything comes of it, seems like it would have been picked up on in the initial investigation.

To be honest, nothing with this situation will surprise me. Including whatever the punishment is.

All the person that hired them has to say is that it wasn't because he played football. Case closed and the NCAA can't use it.

well, I'd tend to agree, but the NCAA has a knack for using whatever the hell they want. Who "closes the case"? I mean, if there's 3 uncles, 2 brothers & an aunt that all got hired on, it's pretty obvious. They could just add to the punishment and say it was for one of the other violations. They kinda make up the rules as they go

Oh ok. Well get sued for having an interview with a qualified applicant and then turning him down because his nephew/son is on the football team. That's going to go over well. Dumb frick

Well if you want to get sued, that's how you get sued.

Need more information. Is your neighbor one of the hookers and booze SS guys that keep popping up in the news? If not, I don't trust his sources.

Good stuff...but I'm sure your ex-OM player now SSA is super glad his neighbor came running to post what he told you.

For goodness sake you narrowed it down to who it was as far as you could without giving the dudes yrs played, position, #, jock strap size, best stats, Rivals star count etc etc etc etc...
