I read a couple of articles on the UM recruiting class. One article indicated the lower than normal class was due to the NCAA investigation. The other article indicated a lower ranked class than previous years because the OM roster was full of freshmen and Sophomores.
Probably a combination of the two articles is what I am thinking

The way they are dragging things out is part of the punishment. It is very effective too. I don't agree with them doing it but it is what it is.

They went 5-7, replaced nearly the entire coaching staff after the season, and have an NCAA investigation cloud over their heads.
