Am I suppose to believe Lewis turned down 15K from Ole Miss and an additional amount from LSU to go to MSU out of the kindness of his heart?

He grew up a state fan and was privately committed to us for 6 months... so yes.

ETA: He didn't turn down the 15k, he got it.

I assume the NCAA won't require he return the 15k to retain his eligibility either

Lol at the one year bowl ban. Good luck with that.

More like 2 year ban, 15-20 schollies, vacated wins, and 2 year show cause for hugh

Why would you vacate wins when the players that received benefits never signed with us?

with THESE VIOLATIONS, im guessing penalties of-4 years probation, 40 schollys lost, 2 year bowl ban, freeze and each staff member involved, 5 year show cause.......IF ole piss could get this, they had better JUMP at the chance....

Only paying players that go elsewhere is a bold strategy.

You don't vacate wins for that. See our punishment in 2003-2004. You lose scholarships, visits, get a bowl ban, public reprimand, and get put on probation for about 4-5 years. We had to hire a new head coach as well, but that was going to happen either way.

That's all they apparently have proof of, no mention of any athletes that have signed with us

b/c the NCAA doesn't have subpoena power. they can't MAKE you talk. Only players that signed elsewhere were given immunity.

My point being they can't vacate wins on the reasoning that some athletes that didn't sign with us were paid so athletes that did sign with us must have also got paid. There has to be proof

Former Staff Member A initiated and facilitated two boosters having impermissible contact with Prospective Student-Athlete B (who enrolled at another institution). It is further alleged that these two boosters provided Prospective Student-Athlete B (who enrolled at another institution) with impermissible cash payments during that timeframe and that Former Staff Member A knew about the cash payments. The value of the alleged inducements according to the NCAA is between $13,000 and $15,600. This is charged as a Level I violation.

Bo Scarbrough wrecking the RebBears and he didn't even sign.

Can we get a full legend with our believed names of "Prospective Student-Athelete A" "Staff Member B", etc?

I would put money on it that "B" is Scarbrough.
