Ole Miss tailgating question

Can anyone that has been there fill me in on the real rules regarding alcohol? The OM website makes it sound like 25 to life for drinking, but I assume it's not as strict as it sounds. Someone even told me that coolers have to have locks and whiskey in plain sight is OK, but beer has to be in cups. I just don't want to end up in Oxford lockup with a Buford T Justice type. Thanks

Red solo cups are your friend. Cops don't really check it. Now if you have a case just out in the full open, then yeah they'll say something. Just keep it in the coolers and keep it in solo cups and you will be fine.
Locks aren't really important. Most cops won't even go through them. I think they say that just intimidate.

Don't drink a beer in a can or bottle.
If you don't want your alcohol to be gone when you return from the game, lock your cooler.
Nothin to it.

Good to know. I figured it was as simple as keep it in a cup and don't act like a arse. An arse rather.

Just put it in a cup and you'll have no problems

Beer pong is for kids. It doesn't belong on the Grove.

You should be fine but my best advice is to get rid of the beer cans/bottles after u pour em in the cup ASAP. Just dont leave them scattered all over th table. What I have figured out is that as long as you dont atract too much attention you will be fine. Just a reminder but OPD does NOT have anything better to do than enforcing stupid alcohol rules. The "Offficial Rule" is that no alcohol under 6% is allowed on campus (Beer) Only alcohol containing above 6% is allowed so basically no Bud Heavy yet you can get smashed on some Jack D. Another hypocritical Oxford Law

Oh boy, here we go.
You're right Kent, you can out drink every single one of us. But, since we're arguing over the internet, I make more money than you. Suck that, bitch.
Last year, I made $3,600,000,000,000,000,000,000 in just the month of April alone, all while drinking an average of eighteen Budweisers, a handle of Tito's vodka, and a fifth of Johnnie Walker Blue Label every single day. Suck that too, bitch.

Hope you have a great time in the Grove. Id love to play a few games to shake your thoughts that we are a bunch of lightweights.. Just because our bars close at one doesn't mean we dont know ow to get slammed. As a friend from Bama promptly pointed out during his visit a few years ago. "Ole Miss parties harder from 5-Midnight than any school in the country"

Truer words have never been spoken. Whenever me and my friends go to another school we are shite housed by 12, not realizing we are gonna be at the bars for 2 hours. The way I look at it is we drink the same amount just faster.

Like Grateful said, beer pong tables shouldn't be a problem. Just as long as it is too rowdy. If some people can get away with some things at their tent, I'm sure the table wouldn't be a problem.

There is nothing wrong with playing some beer pong or other drinking games.
