so we have a tiny all boys private school in VA, UMass (where they chanted frick Mitt Romney, not sure if they chanted racist things about him) and Ole Miss.
3 out of how many schools in the US and one happens to be a school with a history of racial tension?

I don't know why this is so hard for some folks to comprehend.
You may not like it. Kids at UMass can do dumb shite and nobody cares. Some kids at a school here in Oregon hung Obama in effigy in 2008 and it barely registered nationally (those kids were suspended, BTW). But kids at Ole Miss need to be squeaky clean because your reputation far precedes you. No school in the nation has the reputation (fair or unfair) that Ole Miss does when it comes to race relations.
Kudos to the students tonight for recognizing the best way to combat that negative perception.
Whining and bitching that "the media hates us and it's not fricking fair cuz other schools have racist douchebags too" will never combat that perception.
Wright Thompson may be an attention whore but I think he understands the situation much better than quite a few Ole Miss fans and students do.

and I'm on Twitter, I saw celebrations in fricking Egypt last night for crying out loud. If this happened at another school , especially a well known school, itwould be all over Twitter then the news as well, I guess it was just another coincidence that the students at similar rallies didnt have iPhones?

Those mean old liberal media...just looking for the chance to capture video to make Ole Miss look bad. They probably planted those so called "students" and read a script. It's a conspiracy.

Exactly... couldn't have said it better myself. Deserved or not, Ole Miss as well as the rest of the deep south will always have a microscope towards them from the media when anything about race comes up.

Speaking of them two.....I heard a story that almost made that whole situation sound more funny. Almost believable. Supposedly her boyfriend and some friends beat his arse and he paid them off to say it was a wreck. The guy continued to say it was true because the whore didn't have a scratch on her, yet Bobby looked like he been through Hell and back.
I got a good laugh out of that guy's "information" this past Saturday.
