I am hearing some word on the street that AJ Brown is leaning pretty heavily towards taking the baseball route and not heading to Oxford this fall.

Anyone else hearing those rumors?

Why would he piss off so many fans in his home town if he didn't have too?

He will be in Oxford. DWI.

Would be a hilarious WAOM. Signed highly touted receiver out of rival's backyard, trolled rival relentlessly about it, highly touted receiver ends up playing baseball.

God I hope this happens, frick Ole Miss

If he gets drafted in 1st or 2nd round he'd be dumb to not take the money while he can

Indeed. More money and less risk in baseball. Really hope he makes the right decision, to tell Ole Miss to kiss his black arse.

He is the second kid ever to play in both Under Armour baseball and football games. He is considered to be a pretty high round pick this June, and considers baseball his first love. We shall see.

Merlins had him play double agent.

They both knew he was going to play baseball the whole time so he helped State as best he could by committing to OM - thus keeping the ReBears from signing a player they might actually get to use.

Brilliant move Dan...

Not only that, but even if he fails in baseball after 3-4 years can come to college and play football anyways. Only this way he got $1M+ out of a short baseball career.

And pull off possibly the greatest WAOM in history by signing with MSU

Is this a serious question?

You cannot stay away from these Rebel threads

If he can get paid, power to him. He does not owe Ole Miss anything. I hope he is a Rebel in the fall, but never pass up a chance for the MLB money if it is good enough.

But you did not frick with us, you just joined and offered nothing to the conversation.

You can be obsessed with us, you just need to add something of substance when you do.

If he can make money in baseball, I'd advise him to go that route. I was really happy with how everything turned out with Senquez, but until his senior year it looked like he might not even get drafted. Things worked out great, but it was a huge risk to turn down $1.5M to come play football at Ole Miss.

After seeing what is happening to Kyler Murray, I am sure AJ will give a lot of thought to how much money he would be able to turn down. Maybe he can work out a deal like Anthony Alford where he plays baseball in the minors in the summer and football in the fall. Alford is now the Blue Jays top prospect so it worked out ok for him.

This would be the ultimate troll by a player I can remember. He seemingly trolls MSU by signing with Rebs, only to flip from Ole Miss to the MLB draft. That would go down in troll history as one of GOAT.

Hopefully Senquez Golson gives AJ a call. Can't blame him for taking advantage of that kind of opportunity.

He has been playing down in Clearwater and I got to talk to him at a event. He is killing it and is a good guy.
