Or just roll with the backup and a wildcat rest of the season.

I wouldn't pull that trigger. If they had a good record and a shot at a NY6 bowl maybe but no now.

Let that youngin learn and take the reins next year. He's too good to spoil on a throwaway season.

Go ahead and burn it. Ole Miss won't have a football team for the foreseeable future starting next year.

Good point. These will probably be the only three games where we ever see him in a Rebel jersey. Might as well get a picture of it for our scrapbook.

I'm surprised at the assumption that he's actually ready to play. Pro-style QB evaluations out of HS are notoriously garbage, and Eason is currently getting his arse kicked.

Granted, I have no idea what the quality of your other backup is.

Freeze said he would be trying to stick with Pellerin, but he also wouldn't rule it out. Also will have Markell Pack, Jeremy Liggins, and Evan Engram practice a little at QB.

I'm okay with the first part, the latter half is full retard.

Patterson is not going to be at Ole Miss 5 years. They are better off getting him in the game and start developing him in game situations.

The only reason to not play him is if he's not as good as advertised.

Good night, he has been around forever.

Reminds me of Buford Magee, that frickers must have played 8 years

No kidding. That was my reaction seeing his name, except with profanity.

Go look at them over the last 10 years, looong list of guys that didn't pan out. There are a few that did, but overall evaluation was surprisingly shitty.

I was talking about the second part. Eason is doing fine.

Freeze has gone on to say that he wants to set Shea up for success. Freeze says Shea's ready, and that he's the most complete quarterback he's ever seen as a freshman, but he wants to take time to make the right decision, not one made out of emotion.

Why pay all that money for a kid if you're not going to play him when you need him?

He's slated for a pay increase on his first start and we're trying to save some to help out our shite recruiting class.

How much is Liggins weighing now days? Wasn't he looked at at either LB or TE? But as for Freeze making the "right decision", I am guessing Mr. Patterson has not made contact yet, as he was trying to make all the decisions re his son's playing time, first at Az. or Az.State and then when LSU was recruiting him.

Daddy wants to save that year of eligibility for another school. When the hammer drops players will be granted a free transfer like they did with PennSt. He will be able to start next year with 4 years of eligibility probably at Auburn if I had to guess.
