I normally don't get too excited over recruits unless they have an obvious, physical advantage. For example, a 6'3, 215lb cornerback that runs a 4.3. Chances are, more than not, the kid is going to be a player. That's why I was really excited about all the beef Texas added to their defensive line.
That said, I've heard absolutely nothing but great things about the Patterson QB kid. From what people have told me about his time in Shreveport, he's the real deal. Ole Miss very well may have signed the number 1 player, not Michigan.

so six of those players on that "D" haven't played a down yet for the rebs and they are penciled in as starters for '18.
WOW!!!
It's even better on the "O" 11 of the 15 players mentioned haven't played yet.
WOW!!! WOW!!!

Offense and defense looks like it's taking a step back
7-9 wins for you

Assuming all players come close to meeting potential (some won't), Ole Miss has a pretty sick starting line up for 2018.
I like this game, mainly because it's fun to see where units stack up in terms of star ratings, which largely don't matter, but are still fun. Using the Composite.
Bama's potential 2016 starting offense:
QB: Blake Barnett, 5*
RB: Bo Scarbrough/Damien Harris, Both 5*
WR: Calvin Ridley, 5*
WR: Robert Foster, 5*
WR: ArDarius Stewart, 4*
TE: OJ Howard, 5*
LT: Cam Robinson, 5*
LG: Ross Piersbacher, 4*
C: JC Hassenauer, 4*
RG: Alphonse Taylor, 4*
RT: Charles Baldwin, 4*

I seriously can't understand the fantasy land some croots must live in to sign on at Bama thinking they will ever see the field.

Ah you're right. Calvin Ridley, Minkah Fitzpatrick, Damien Harris, Bo Scarbrough, Daron Payne, Hale Hentges, Ronnie Harrison all didn't play extremely important roles this year.
Ronnie Harrison made one of the best plays in the national championship game as a freshman.
Calvin Ridley led the team in receiving.
Minkah played the entire year.
Hentges also played the whole year as a blocking TE.
Harris/Bo are taking over next year and played back-up role this year.
Payne was in the rotation the entire year in the deepest part of Alabama's defense.

Carried around 20 times in garbage time. He wasn't allowed to play the first four games.
