It has been fun but not real up in here. Let's keep it real. What do you think really happens to Ole Miss in the next 6 months, on and off the field?

OFF the field:

Range of choices IMHO:

Nothing. Penalties self-imposed.

OR

We have no bowl bans, get a slight reduction in scholarships.

OR

Freeze gets canned. We get a full four year probation with heavy penalties.

OR

Death penalty.

ON the field:

Best team in 50 years

OR

Beat Bama 3 straight but lose a few others, basically last year

OR

The house of cards come down a notch but manages a 7 win season.

OR

The house of cards meet level ground when Freeze loses his team and they only win four games.

Too many "OR"s in your post. So no fricks given. And Ole Miss fans wow, get a grip.

I believe (and have heard, not that it's worth anything) that even if Freeze is suspended and/or receives a show cause that Ole Miss will not fire him. Of course, that also depends on what happens with Bjork too.

I think Ole Miss loses one game in the regular season this year and finally makes it to Atlanta (playing UTenn for the SEC Championship).

I think they either lose to LSU or FSU...but they will beat Bama again.

I can't imagine the number of student transfers and decline in applications if y'all got 4 years probation. Who would want to stay there if there was no grove or football games?

I bet 75% would transfer

NCAA trying to do their best FBI email investigation impersonation.

Their violations will be noted in the 15 minute lead up to "not worthy of indictment"

I don't think the NCAA stuff is settled this year. Most likely will drag into 2017. I have no idea what the team will do on the field.

This although I don't think there is anything slight about it.

I hear this a lot but Ole Miss fans would be doing the same thing if roles were reversed.

Penalties are gonna be more than the self imposed. Depending on how many level 1s are reduced, 15-20 schollies, 2 yr probation, 1 yr bowl ban. A few games suspended for Freeze. A coach or two fired.

This season 8-4/6-6. Will take time to gel. Mainly OL. If team is unaffected by off field crap, they may be really good by the end. Or they could implode, thus the possible 6-6. They won't be as good as last year. Not even the same level of talent and experience.
