they are still quick to assume and draw the most negative possible conclusions when other schools involved in something.
There is a name for this.

The word is homozygosity, a result of a century of inbreeding.

Wrong school. Ole Miss is known for this weird throwback swankyness thing...they seem to compete with each other on who can take it to the next level.

The inbreeding distinction belongs to Bama's bottom 10%. They've got a pretty cool top 50%...the next 40% are the obnoxious douches that call into the Finebaum show...never shut up at work about Bama's 5*'s backing up 5*'s...and the lower 10%...that's the trailer park Bammers that have cornered the market on all things hillbilly.

I see what you mean. It's actually rather comical in a provincial sort of way.

I'm expecting Bjork to play the Eric Cartman card with the ncaa come 9/11:

there's no doubt, but you may also wake up with a live rabbit boiling in your kitchen if you try to bail on the relationship.

What is an example of OM denial? I keep hearing about how delusional we are, yet OM fans, unlike a lot of you admit we cheat. Is it delusional to assume less than 35K in alleged benefits found over 5 years isn't warranted an equitable death penalty? Is that where we are being delusional or it something else?

Your post is a perfect example. Yes, the amount of impermissable benefits isn't warranted the death penalty, but your coach, AD and entire administration mislead and attempted to deceive the NCAA the entire way. They backtracked with every new discovery until it finally bit y'all in the arse. How you don't understand this is beyond me.

Key word being found. If you think the ONLY kid who got money just happens to be the one with immunity, you're crazy. He's the one they could get to talk.

Also, your staff knew (or should have known) the rules. They know what is and isn't a violation. To commit 15 Level 1 violations is crazy. To have something like 60+ secondary violations, but to have only found and self reported less than 1/3 of those doesn't seem to indicate an "atmosphere of compliance"

I get your fanhood is blinding you. I've been there. Refused to see the Albert Means thing as being bad until the bitter end. But hell is coming for OM man. Sooner you come to grips with it, the better off you'll be.

OM isn't getting the death penalty. Anybody who (for purposes other than trolling) suggests they are is as delusional as the OM fans who think their self imposed wrist slap is going to be deemed sufficient.

That guy looks awful. He's about 20 lbs overweight. He has acne on his double chin. His suit is ill fitting. Look how much break he has in those pants and they are way too wide at the seem.

He reeks of middle class pretending to be upper middle class.

I was right there with you during the Means saga and have made the same comparison in a bunch of the OM threads.

They'd do well to listen to those of us that lived it, but they won't. If a forum like this had existed in 1999 we wouldn't have listened either. At best, once the hammer falls, they'll remember the threads and have a hope of living through it.

Not saying that you're wrong about Bama, but this statement proves that you've not spent much time in the Grove.

OM is great at putting their best foot forward, and they line the sun-dressed beauties up front to promote the scene. But if you visit the tents and spend some time you notice that the overwhelming majority of bodies belong to folks with their eyes a little too close together, or people with the tell-tale elongated head or the unusually large number of fans with Hapsburg Jaws or Microcephaly.

It's heart-breaking, honestly.
