The motive is a diversion tactic, classic diversion. They want to direct attention to keep looking at LL/MSU while forgetting there are 19 other allegations that would not change if you remove the LL testimony that is disputed by Rebel Rags. It's a PR campaign, a distraction tactic as classic as the OJ Simpson case decades ago. Throw doubt on one little allegation and hope the NCAA bends. TOO late, the NCAA has already presented their case file and OM has responded in kind.

What?
A forest falls because of one tree?

The NCAA will have already laid down the hammer way before any details of this little civil suit makes it to court. It will have zero influence on the decisions made by the COI or on the response OM presented in defense of the NOA.
It will if the attorneys are telling the defendants and NCAA to withdrawal their testimony before the COI meeting or the law suit will go through, which they have already. Once again, it will all come down to the NCAA response in late July. If they keep it in there it will have no impact on the punishment OM could receive. If it is removed, obviously it does

NCAA can do whatever TF it wants. the COI isn't a court of law. you guys broke its bylaws multiple times... and just going by their penalty matrix you guys should have 120 scholarships taken away from you and have to payback the last 4-5 years of bowl revenue. your best bet is to go smoke all the spice you can so you become a vegetable and won't be sad when the punishments hit.
