Ole Miss fans, how much stock do you put into Yancy Porter?

I was reminded today of a tidbit Yancy put out after Miss State 2011 recruiting class that went something like this "This is the kind of class that will set a program back for years."
He was looking at star ratings, not good talent evaluation by Mullen. Lets see here, Dak Prescott ring a bell? How about Darius Slay? Uh...Preston Smith? What about Taveze Calhoun? Did Benardrick McKinney pan out? Even PJ Jones got a stint in the NFL. Josh Robinson was a beast in the Sec. Off the top of my head I think Yancy was wrong, don't you?
Why do you guys listen to him so much? Same guy who misled you about the Ncaa investigation. Have most of you learned to ignore him or does he still have many following him as an "expert" on all things Ole Miss and recruiting.

There are a couple of Mississippi State posters who take obsession to new levels. I thought Auburn fans were bad, but I've never seen anything like this outside of team dedicated forums. You expect the extremists to be there. But the OP and 1 or 2 others let there obsession hang out for all to see.

This coming from a fan base that trust Rosebowl. Yea, the MSU recruiting guy that predicted a few years ago a undefeated season and Rose Bowl showing for your Bullpups.

Wasn't that like 2011 when Herbstreit predicted us to win a natty?
Not saying it was warranted, but it was year 3 of Mullen and everyone thought we were about to break out. The previous year we had missed on Cam and still won like 9 games with Relf at QB, there was ample reason for optimism.
Also, I take his recruiting opinions with a grain of salt because he's burned me before, but Rosebowl seems to be a better OM insider than your insiders.

I 100% agree that Yancy isn't reliable and just pumps sunshine up everyone's arse regarding Ole Miss, but most schools have someone like that. He's embarrassing, but he doesn't come close to that trashy druggie State has. Most friends I have from State are embarrassed by that guy just like we're embarrassed by Yancy. To the OP, what is going on in your life where you post about something from that long ago about a rival school at 1:25 AM? Life can't be that bad.

Nah that was 2012. In 2011 we actually were pretty underwhelming because our offense couldn't keep things rolling once Relf kind of hit his ceiling. Lost a handful of low scoring games, think auburn beat us with Cam like 11-9 or something like that.
Defense was absolutely stacked to the teeth though, if that team had a QB they would have been really good.

Typical. The guy that covers MSU has been clean since his early years and unlike you bunch of liars, Steve took the time to air it our for all the world to see in hopes of saving a next kid. You would not even know about except he thought important enough to tell his story as a kid.
You punks been using that against him ever since. Typical Ole Miss fans - lets use something on someone who volunteered his story in hopes to change lives and act like you are so much better than he is.

No the rosebowl title came back in the Jackie days if I remember correctly it was 01 or 02 and we ended up going 2-9 or something similar.
As for the druggie comment, the dude is clean and has been for quite a while. That is actually an accomplishment for someone who has struggled with addiction. Something I would think most OM fans would be familiar with(its just a college phase most kids grow out of it...***)

Again, thinking we would do that in '01 wasn't outrageous, we were supposed to be a top team in the nation and took a swan dive into the dumpster fire.
