The guys was acting like an arse. Don't condone cops slapping him around but however this happened I am glad and hope he never sees a dime.

It's just my opinion, but they shouldn't be allowed to beat the shite out of you until you do something that physically threatens them

As a veteran, I can confirm that it is in no way a solid test of character. I appreciate the work veterans do and have done, but it won't stop you from being a scumbag. I had a Soldier who raped his stepdaughter. Yes he is a veteran. Yes is a piece of shite.

I know literally zero details of this story, but anyone that is surprised that someone looks much worse a few hours later after getting beat up hasn't been around many fist fights.

yet many will continue to resist arrest. the only prudent option when reproached by an officer of the law is to be calm, civil and do what the frick he says do. do not let him think you are a threat. he has weapons and he's trained to subdue perps.

If you look at the photos closely there are blood and abrasions where there was not earlier, suggesting new injuries rather than increased swelling.

Yeah, I've heard a lot of conflicting stories about this clown from people who were there and saw it. Where there is smoke, there is fire. Didn't add up until now. He was probably talking shite in the drunk tank and got his arse kicked for it. Probably deserved it, especially since he lied and said the cops did it to him.

I don't necessarily think the force was required but the guy could have followed orders to leave with the officers instead of arguing in the middle of a huge crowd why he doesn't think he should be kicked out.

OPD is notorious for over-stepping their bounds and being overly aggressive. They also manipulate and threaten kids. 60 Minutes this week will be about the local DEA and OPD doing this in Oxford.
It was really, really bad. The cops do whatever the frick they want. Have absolutely no respect for anyone's rights. My parents have witnessed this stuff while visiting and they were just blown away.

I have no idea if this guy deserved this. I'm just speaking to my experience with OPD and UPD and Oxford DEA.
