Looking down the schedule, Vandy, Florida, Arkansas and Auburn should be wins for the Rebels, as should the two cupcake OOC games. That would put them 10-0 heading into the LSU and State game.

The Rebels have a bye before getting Buga and the Tigers in Oxford and then they travel to Starkville for the Egg Bowl.

Is Ole Miss going to win the West or will they stumble late like last season? I think they finish the regular season with one loss to LSU, but I'm obviously biased. We could be looking at LSU, Bama and Ole Miss all with one loss at the end of the reg. season. Thoughts?

They could run off the table to.

They could even run away with the table, but Po Po would be in hot pursuit.

You missed A&M, which is more of a loss potential than the four you mentioned.

Every team that hasn't lost could run the table.

Hell, the teams that have lost could run the table from here out. Except Arkansas.

They beat a dead qb-less dynasty by 6 with 5 turnovers. Very doubtful right?

You do realize that when Ole Miss beat us in 2003 in Starkville it was arguably the worst team we have had in 20 years. When we beat them in 2010 in Oxford it was probably their worst team in the past 20 years. Home field is so huge in the Egg Bowl. If I were Ole Miss I would be worried about the Egg Bowl just like I was worried about it last season

What would be the tiebreaker if LSU beats Ole Miss and Alabama beats LSU? Record of the East Division opponents, right? If so, frick.

I think Alabama could be in decent shape IF it came down to a three way tie between one loss LSU, Ole Miss, and Alabama (i.e., Alabama lost to Ole Miss lost to LSU lost to Alabama). Tie-breaker goes to the combined SEC record of the team's cross-divisional opponents. Alabama would be get Tennessee and Georgia's record. LSU would get South Carolina and Florida's record. Ole Miss would get Vanderbilt and Florida's record.

same shite different year.

ole miss will lose to lsu, then lose to msu, then get blown out in a bowl. The mississippi teams do this every year, whoever has the better team will lose the egg bowl.

Would go to Ole Miss.
If we all lost 1.
Ole Miss and Bama at 11-1 with us beating them heads up.
LSU would be 10-1 giving Ole Miss and Bama the edge in wins and Bama always beats LSU heads up, of course.

Overall record doesn't matter in the SEC baw.

You are aware that Ole Miss has the second-best bowl winning percentage among teams that've played in at least 20 bowl games, right?

No? Didn't think so. Just for some perspective, Ole Miss is 23-13 in bowl games while UT is 26-24. We'd have to go 3-11 in our next 14 bowls to match UT's stellar mark.

But heads up would count. You don't think two 11-1s would get the nod over a 10-1?

Does the best record get the tie breaker, or does it just disqualify the worst record and then head to head the last two teams?

If that's the case LSU would want USC to finish better than Vandy cause if we beat Bama then Ole Miss would be 3rd and then winner of Bama/LSU game would go.
