Bjork's statement reads:
quote:
Outside counsel for the University of Mississippi received a Notice of Allegations from the NCAA - another step in a more than three-year process. Included in the notice are alleged violations of NCAA bylaws in women's basketball in 2012; track and field in 2012-13; and in football, with many of the allegations dating back to the former football staff in 2010 and the withholding and reinstatement process around Laremy Tunsil in fall of 2015.
To be clear, the NCAA has only brought allegations, and as part of the NCAA process, the University and others have 90 days to issue a response. We’ve been transparent throughout this process, and it is important to note that most of the football allegations are based upon facts that have been publicly disclosed previously in “self-reports” and reinstatement requests or have been reported publicly in connection with another NCAA case.
Out of fairness to the individuals involved and the integrity of the NCAA process, we will not provide further details or comment until everyone has had an opportunity to review the allegations and respond. Once they do so, we will release the official notice and the university’s response. In all three sports, I am confident in the leadership of our current head coaches and the manner in which they operate their programs.

"...with many of the allegations dating back to the former football staff in 2010 and the withholding and reinstatement process around Laremy Tunsil in fall of 2015...."
Then what are the others pertaining to? Oh and thought the tunsil deal was over with time served...

This won't stop the retards of this board thinking that we will get the death penalty out of this

Nothing will happen to football over this. I hate the offseason.

like Gus bus telling his fans we will play better next week, Bork is pumping sunshine up the skirts. He has no clue about the outcome. Bama was the same way in the Albert Means thing. Coach Fran was floored when it hit the fan. He took the easy way out and went to the land of fAggs

If the NCAA is to the point of written allegations, they have already done their research and trail. Very naive comment from an AD.

No reference to the # of allegations. Also, why refer that "many of the violations" are football from 2010 and Tunsil 2015 if there are 5 total?
Many instead of a few? How many is many?

I also read into this an admission of a Saunders violation. That means an OM player may have had a bad ACT score. I hope he didn't play at all or the NCAA will vacate years of wins like they did to Bama. Screwing w records is silly

Wait...the man who has been communicating, self reporting, self imposing, and negotiating directly with the NCAA has "no clue" how this will turn out.
I don't know what you broker, but I hope it's not sophisticated financial products. Maybe watermelons or potatoes or something more on your level.

No he does not.
In Bama's textbook case, they self reported, self imposed, did it all by the book, and even got complimented by the NCAA for their efforts.
Then the ruling came down an saw them wipe 2 years away.
He has no idea what the final outcome will be.

That line is a concern.

We got nailed on textbook gate for having a system that allowed it happen, even though we cleaned it up and self reported TO the NCAA

The other case is the Tunsil punishment. That is how I read it. Since it has already been enforced and it deals with Tunsil himself, not OM it is a seperate case.

Wake me up when Ole Miss finally plays in the SEC Championship game.

Shocking statement. Most of time, the school holds a press conference to announce "This is a total shock to us, we have no idea how bad it's going to be, and we hope they won't punish us too hard but you can never tell."
