1999 Independence Bowl- Ole Miss beats OU to finish 8-4. After this loss OU goes on to win 20 straight games including a BCSNCG in 2000. This is Oklahoma's last National Championship victory.

2008 Florida Gators- Ole Miss upsets Tim Tebow and UF. After the loss Florida goes undefeated in the 2008 season including a National Championship.

2015 Alabama- Ole Miss knocks off Alabama and in return Alabama goes on to win their next two games with a combined score of 72-10 and the National Championship with arguably one of their most unimpressive quarterbacks in recent memory.

Ole Miss has essentially assisted in the National Championship success of three different programs in recent history. Could Florida State be next?

You can add 1977 Notre Dame.

If you want to do that, then add 1969 LSU. They could/should have been playing Texas instead of Notre Dame.

1977 Notre Dame is not a could/should have. They won both major polls after losing to Ole Miss. The thread isn't about who Ole Miss knocked out of contention.

Who knows what will happen ?!? The game is in Orlando and the point spread is going to finish around 3 or 4... It'll be a 4th quarter game.

I agree with you. I felt like FSU was already a little overrated and now they lost their QB. I'm all in on Ole Miss winning that game, especially now.
