Man, I just went and skimmed through some OU boards and they sound absolutely miserable over there and are all over the place. The only thing they agree on it seems is that the B12 is all but dead. Some suggesting to kick out tejas and ask Nubs, A&M and MU to come back. They're embarrassed that there's talk of UH and UCF.
They also acknowledge that no one would want to come (no ACC teams, no B1G teams, no SEC teams, not BYU/ND, not even ASU or Zona). They fricked and know it. At least as long as they're tied at the hip to OSU. That's gonna have to give if they want to land anywhere. If I remember, that was an issue for the PAC12. I know it would be for the SEC.

Stolen from elsewhere:
Here are what appear to be the actual TV subscriber numbers for each state:
LINK
Oklahoma has 621,920 cable households.
Currently, Oklahoma pays the out of state rate of $0.25/month. 621,920 x $0.25 x 12 months = $1,865,760.
If OU joined the SEC, they would pay the in-state rate of $1.30/month. 621,920 x $1.30 x 12 months = $9,701,952.
The important number is how much OU joining the SEC would ADD to the SEC Network pot. This we get by subtracting. $9,701,952 - $1,865,760 = $7,836,192 that OU would add to SEC Network revenues. Not profits, revenues.
Just for fun, let's assume no overhead (which is obviously not the case) and that ESPN takes half. That leaves $3,918,096 that OU would add to SEC Network profits.
That means that unless SEC Network distributions are less than $3,918,096 per school, all 14 schools currently in the SEC would have made less tier 3 money this year by having OU in the conference. Since that number this year was north of $5 million and will grow substantially next year since startup costs were on this year, having OU in the conference would cost every SEC school money. 4

It's in OU's best interest to join whatever conference has the most Texas schools. Without Texas recruits OU isn't OU.

It would be super hilarious if they made the Nebraska mistake and went big 10 or whatever they are. Obscurity would soon follow.

You realize Nebraska has made it to the B1G title game?
Not really that obscure compared to a Texas team who has all the advantages and none of the results.

And they were blown out 70-31. color me unimpressed.
I don't even want to imagine the complete and utter destruction that would have taken place had Ohio state been allowed to play in the championship game.

Nebraska faced superior coaching in the game.

From a baylol fan.
I was in the stands when your Heisman winner team was beaten down by 4 TD's by the Ag's.

He's a piggie, not a bear. Quite a few posters on this site will have "Fan of X" when they're actually fans of Y.

The same superior coaching that blew a 14 point 4th quarter lead in Arlington and has a whopping 2 SEC wins in 2 seasons.

Eventually, the Big 12 will blow-up. As a football fan, I love seeing OU in the SEC for all the great games that will happen. I'd say the move would make it less likely for A&M to win a conference or national title, but those were never real possibilities for the aggies in the SEC anyway.
Funny how those are not real possibilities for the longhorns.......IN THE BIG TWATEVER!!!
I hope the Big Twatever lasts another 30-40 years at 10 teams with the same boring, worthless string of snoozer games and shitty exposure. We are marginalizing the frick out of YOU and your sister-fricking, retarded cousins, OU. Long live the Big Twat!!!

Don't need Oklahoma in the SEC. There is no equity in having them. Would be just another school to have to share funds with and the SEC would get hardly any return. Oklahoma would reap all the benefits from joining and offer zilch to the conference.
