According to the president of Oklahoma in 2010, both the SEC and the PAC 12 have offered the Sooners to join their conferences. Borden says the reason he did not accept the SEC offer was because Texas and Oklahoma State were not offered and they did not want to go without their rivals.

Boren is the ex-Governor of OK and has said he doesn't want to leave OSU behind if OU moves, but that doesn't mean it won't happen eventually.

Count how many threads you start per day.

Subtract 1000 from that number.

Make that many threads from now on.

Why in the hell have I been seeing this the past few weeks?

Did I miss another one of Joe Schad's bogus rumors?

Eventually, the Big 12 will blow-up. As a football fan, I love seeing OU in the SEC for all the great games that will happen. I'd say the move would make it less likely for A&M to win a conference or national title, but those were never real possibilities for the aggies in the SEC anyway.

"There was a time when A&M thought they were going to the SEC and they very much wanted us to go with them," Boren said. "Oklahoma, in the whole thing, we were positioned in a way where virtually we could not have lost."

And yet, they STILL found a way.

I'm afraid Oklahoma will be dead weight once Stoops leaves.

They'll need a lights out recruiter and great Xs and Os coach to maintain that program while trying to compete against the SEC.

He knows nobody from the SEC will embarrass him by throwing a BS flag.

This whole ou thing is a joke, for many reasons and them coming to the SEC will NEVER happen.

A&M came to the SEC because the Longhorn President & AD habitually lied to A&M President Bowen Loftin and Loftin finally told them to shove it.

That is what happened.

I've said that in all the other threads, Texas, OK, and OK State are a package.

People keep saying this but as long as Utx has control of a conference it can keep on going. Southern Cal will always be the lead dog in the PAC. Bucknuts will always be the lead dog in the B1G. Alabama will be the lead dog in the SEC. North Carolina will be the lead dog in the ACC. Utx will never displace them so moving, for Utx, is really not an option. Therefore, the B12 will just keep limping along and once or twice a decade Utx will make a run at a playoff spot.

Please, dear god make it STOP.

No more threads talking about whether or not Texas/OU/VT/UVA/GT/UM/NCST/CU/MU/NU/SU/FU going to come to the SEC.

No more stupid pod system, or move Bama/AU/Mizzou/whoever to the east/west.

No matter how many threads you make on this topic, or on how your "new and original" idea of seeding the conference will make things work, no one cares.

The conference isn't changing. End of story. Let's talk about something else.

if by ruining the game, you mean that it is allowing the game to have more money than ever thought possible, then I agree

Who cares why they didn't come in 2010. Their loss if they chose not to. If they want in now especially after trash talking the SEC and LSU in particular let them beg for it.
