A simple upvote for "yes" and "down" for no if you have seen them play.

Well, it'd be nice if you included the first names just so I'll know who the hell you're talking about.

Because I want this vote to count.

I met Herschel Walker briefly a few years back after a Bama Georgia game at BDS..myself and some friends are walking down Paul Bryant Drive and there he was walking next to us.

Hell of a nice guy, he seemed happy to talk to us we all left impressed.

Derrick, Bo, and Herschel.

I'll see a down vote if you are unsure of who I speak.

Green arrow .... I'll probably always considers Bo the best.

Herschel was a beast.

Henry is excellent.

George Rogers was the most punishing I've ever seen ... he and Earl Campbell.

The Edwards kid that played at UGA ... he was special.

Arkansas has had some great ones since joining the SEC.

Marcus Lattimore didn't have the breakaway speed, but he was the best I've ever seen at finding holes and running behind his pads.

You remember Musso?

I'm having a hard time just ranking top 5 Bama RB's

Henry
Alexander
Ingram
Richardson
Musso

Feel like I'm missing someone

Its almost funny to watch games from Bo and Herschel s era. Linebackers look about 170 and Dlinemen look about 190.

When healthy, I think Lacy was the most talented RB to play for Alabama. I would take a healthy Lacy over every one of the guys you have listed.

/end hijack.

I actually saw Herschel run in the SEC Indoor track championships in Gainesville one year. Herschel in a track uniform was an impressive sight.

Johnny Musso ... early 70s played for The Bear.

Back then there were not as many TV games but I vividly remember the SoCal game where The Bear came out and lined them up in the Wishbone and Musso ran wild. SoCal was not prepared for it - he was fast for a white boy too. Could turn the corner and lower his pads and deliver a blow.

Bama had some fun teams to watch in the early 70s.

LBs were more around 210 and DLinemen around 240.

DEs could be in the 220 range if you were lucky and were signing the good ones.

Offensive linemen, the big ones, were 250-260. Campbell was bigger than some of his OLinemen.

Are you a little sensitive Cajun? You make the question seem more than it is. I'm just asking who has seen those 3 play. I myself have seen them whip my team.

Are there other great backs? Hell yea!!

For me H. walker made us his bitch. Some of his best games were at our expense. Plus I truly dislike Georgia.

I saw all three.

Walker is the greatest back I've ever seen..period. his team lost 2 games in 3 years. He carried them.

Bo is as great an athlete as I've ever seen. He's a human highlight reel.

Henry is simple a beast. Unique running style, very fast top end speed. He appears to not be quick in the hole, but I honestly think it's an optical illusion because he's so big.

How would I rank them as RB's.

1. WALKER
2. HENRY
3. BO

Different to watch on Youtube vs watching them play real-time in their prime and in the context of the game was at that time. Most old footage of spectacular plays and players look pedestrian by today's standards.

He's an 18-wheeler. Takes a second to get going but once he does he's unstoppable.

Freight train is a much more accurate description I think.
