I know, this has to be Germans... But spring practice is in full swing and there aren't enough football threads on tRant
I REALLY wish that the conferences would get together and force a "round robin" based on rankings, have the SEC square off against all other conferences based on prior year's standings & make every team have TWO power games on sched every year
anyway, here is how I rank the OOC scheds:
UGA: UNC ~ Nichols State ~ LA Lafayette ~ GT
AU: Clemson ~ Ark State ~ LA Monroe ~ AL A & M
SC: E Carolina ~ UMass ~ W Carolina ~ Clemson
Ole Miss: FSU ~ Wofford ~ Memphis ~ GA Southern
Arky: LA Tech ~ TCU ~ TX State ~ Alcorn
Vandy: MTSU ~ GA Tech ~ W KY ~ TN State
LSU: Wisky ~ Jax State ~ So Miss ~ S Alabama
Mizzou: West Virginia ~ E Mich ~ Delaware State ~ MTSU
Bama: USC ~ W KY ~ Kent State ~ Chattanooga
KY: So Miss ~ NM State ~ Austin Peay ~ Louisville
aTm: UCLA ~ Prairie View A & M ~ NM State ~ UTSA
Tenn: App State ~ VA Tech ~ Ohio ~ TN Tech
UF: UMass ~ N Texas ~ Presbyterian ~ FSU
MS State: S Alabama ~ UMass ~ BYU ~ Samford
1st thing, is this the first time ever that EVERY team has at least 1 marquee opponent? Great to see the rule on that affecting this year's schedule
2nd thing - are the U Mass Minutemen looking to build their program this year? 3 SEC games - wow
3rd - UGA at top because - TWO Power 5 foes, Au # 2 because two "cupcakes" more respectable than others
MS State last because BYU = worse Power foe & other 3 OOC games are total dogshit
UF 2nd to last because 3 OOC games almost as bad as MS State

Damn, that's some Baylor type shite right there

As for them, they played a few games with Michigan but interesting to go SEC-heavy. Also, it's kinda neat for Miss St. to play at the Gillette. Plus, Boston ain't a bad side trip.

we've played them before...
Our OOC sched winds up looking a lot better because of how surprisingly well the tar Heels played last year
and Bama gets special mention for the most "marquee" game vs USC

Interesting, didn't know that. Thx.
UGA has done a solid job in the past with OOC (ASU, CU, Clemson, OK ST, etc.). should be interesting to open with UNC.

Bama/USC and A&M/UCLA will be cool to watch. Doesn't seem like the SEC plays with Pacific coast teams very often.

I don't really mind, we had a decent OOC last year and play both Michigan and FSU the following year.

Really looking forward to the Clemson/AU game

I don't mind as it is sandwiched between two strong OOC schedules for us. The following year we play Michigan and FSU.
that's very strong, I'd love for UGA to play Michigan again
we get Notre Dame next year, I just wish your game with MI was a home/home instead of a "kickoff" game in TX
our OOC for last year was pretty pathetic, this is your year for that

Ours is similar every year. We play a FCS team, a team from a power 5, and a couple others that should be win fluffers.

LSU #1.
Only school with the balls to play Jacksonville State.

Nobody cares about OOC. This isn't basketball or baseball were you get in a tournament because of RPI.
I would look at the overall schedule. SEC West teams generally have tougher schedules than anyone in the East.
Notable exceptions are UT and UF who are saddled with Bama and LSU.

we have Ole miss & AU
and only people that have horrific OOC schedules say "nobody cares"
I care, I want MORE strong matchups - makes football season more fun
I mean, are you really not excited about Bama vs USC or Ole Miss vs FSU?

So UGA is number one in your opinion?

Kentucky's is terrible as always. So tired of those awful OOC games sans Louisville.

Yes, I already said that, and I followed up by saying because we have 2 power 5 opponents and the fact that UNC played for the ACC championship strengthens that argument

shite, I do. I hate watching games against cupcakes. It usually appears the players feel the same way about playing in them. Couple that with a lackluster tailgating atmosphere, they're just shitty all the way around. The only bright spot is it helps lower funded athletic departments.

Wish I could tell, from that above, whether those are home or away but I know one thing that definitely sticks-out to me ... ACC teams are definitely loosening-up in terms of their willingness to play SEC teams it would appear.
SCAR just finished a series with UNC ... and, of course, we've got Clemson every year and in 2017 we add NC State to the schedule for a couple two or three games.
But I see FSU and Clemson both scheduling two SEC games, vs Ole Miss and Auburn respectively. Ga Tech has both Vandy and UGA plus UGA has Ga Tech naturally. Ky gets Louisville and Tennessee gets Va Tech ... is that UT vs Va Tech game the one taking place in the Tri-Cities this year, at BMS?
Anyways, good to see those games that are not the instate rivalry games being scheduled.

PAC 12 schools do not like playing in Eastern and Central time zones. Their record in those games reflects as such.
