I don't have a problem with A&M, UT, or BAMA being #1.

A&M has 3 power 5 wins and only one of the 4 games were close. Bama's big win over USCw isn't looking overly impressive like we all thought and needed a major comeback vs Ole Miss. If we are baseing it 100% of resume this year and how each team has looked. It isn't hard to make an argument for A&M over Bama.

Like I said, I don't have a problem with it - I only find it amusing it's the ONE person doing it.

The major comeback vs OM, now with what happened to UGA firmly in view, isn't "bad" at all. We all knew Chad Kelly was Alabama's kryptonite.

As far as USCw... true, their record isn't good at all. That said, comparing the loss to Alabama to their other losses (@ #6 Stanford, @ #18 Utah), it's still pretty brutal.

Though I agree, and not a huge fan of transitive property, UCLA and USC looked fairly identical against Stanford (when you take into account home field advantage). If those are a wash, then I would concede that A&M's win over Arkansas looks better overall than Alabama's win over OM (OM might be the better team, but A&M did a much better job vs Arkansas), and beating Auburn is at least a tad better than beating WKU.

So no, I would not have a problem with anyone voting A&M over us. I think it's pretty clear those are the two best teams in the SEC, though Tennessee and Ole Miss are going to be dangerous for anyone that plays them.

Thankfully, it will be settled on the field :) Looking forward to a DAMN good game in a few weeks.

I think I'd flip Arkansas and Ole Miss, but it looks good besides that to me

Not me. Based on body of work to this point, I go with Ole Miss until we can put together 4 quarters of football.

Was that really the best commentary you could find from an A&M voter?

He isn't a bad guy, trust me

Ole Miss would beat both A&M and UT by 3+ scores

I was extremely impressed with aTm, their body of work at this point is stronger than Alabama imo

I have to agree with this

Bama may well be the best team still, but aTm has been more impressive this season so far

The current power rankings are oddly similar to the scoreboard of football conference championships.

Those are actual conference championships.

But if you want to look at conference championships since we've joined the sec you'll be just as angry and bitter

But how do you view the UCLA win?

Bruins were ranked preseason in the Top 25 and took TAMU down to the wire @ TAMU. Problem is, UCLA is now 2-2 including a win against 1-3 BYU and a win against UNLV. UCLA could easily be 1-3 and we nave early know till the end of the season if any of the PAC south are any good.

If you're going to doc them credit for playing BYU close then you have to give them credit for having a lead on top 10 Stanford late in the 4th.

They're probably an average to an above average power 5 team. They're elite at QB, LT, and a few spots on the DL, but don't have the depth to compete vs the top tier consistently.
