Now hold up, we held Bama to one td almost through 3 quarters, and had the lead at almost that point as well.

You mean how you penalize Auburn for holding TAMU to 1 TD through 3 quarters and being down 6 with 1:00 left in the 3rd?

Can't have both sides of that argument Sarge.

We were also 1/2 yd away from icing tennesseee 35-20 in regulation

I would hope you'd be close to icing a game that you had a +3 TO margin in regulation.

-TAMU gave up 5.5 YPC to a team that avg 3.98 YPC this season
-TAMU had almost 100 yards less in offense
-TAMU won the penalty yd battle by nearly 50yards

Add to that Myles Garrett is currently not 100% which makes a massive different to your defense as he bsaicaly commands quadruple teams

Can you guys not read? It took a HAIL MARY from the 2nd or 3rd best team in the SEC to beat them.. They're 4th until proven otherwise

And laMo compared to USCe? Really? On the road when we left 4 future NFL players home to heal up?

Auburn has been without our starting running back for the past two games Don't hear me making excuses about why we didn't get more rush yards

Wasn't trying to make a direct comparison like that, just pointing out that TAMU hasn't looked exceptional in the past 3 games While Auburn hasn't shown anything other than dominance the last 3 games

If Auburn wins by say <7 vs OM, I'd guess TAMU would consolidate their #2 place easily (outside a Bama loss). If Auburn goes out and wins by 50, I would think it would be a split TAMU/AU at #2

but losing to Vandy, getting blown out by Ole Miss, and almost losing to Nicholls mean nothing?

I can't take anything you say seriously. It is really easy to rationalize games when you get a win, but it will all work itself out during the course of the season. I'm sure there were plenty of UGA fans that could explain the Mizzou and Nichols game as a young team playing down to competition. But the Ole Miss and Vandy games showed they really aren't a good team this year.

Auburn hasn't gotten man handled by any team they have played this year, however we have dominated our last 3 games in a way Tennessee hasn't all year, no matter the competition. Is Ohio better Miss State? Maybe. Is Arkansas better than App State? Probably. Regardless, Auburn has absolutely embarrassed over matched teams the way good teams are suppose to. Tennessee has proven they aren't significantly better than any team they have played this year.

Tennessee played UGA as well Nichols did minus one completed Hail Mary pass. You can keep making yourself feel better as much as you want, but just know that you will be back here trying to convince everyone UT is the second best team in the conference after losing in the SEC championship game by 40 again.
