If you look at TAMU's last 3 games
-24-13 v USCe
-45-38 v UTk
-14-33 v Bama
Auburn last 3 games
-58-7 v LaMO
-38-14 v MSU
-56-3 v Arkansas
If you start looking at the Bama game, there are some major red flags for TAMU as only 3/12 drives went for >25 yards. Combine that with allowing a depleted UTk to come back to tie 20 points, an unconvincing win over USCe
The issue has more to do with TAMU showing weakness and lack of dominating play than someone jumping TAMU

Now hold up, we held Bama to one td almost through 3 quarters, and had the lead at almost that point as well.
We were also 1/2 yd away from icing tennesseee 35-20 in regulation

Kind of my point. Praising auburn for beating up hapless opponents that are trash and punishing A&M for struggling against the best team in the nation and beating a top 25 team that likely wins their division.
I agree with putting more emphasis on recent games but you can't ignore prior games either. Also need to weigh opponents. Just my opinion
