I think a lot of you forget this is a power ranking...not a standings or record ranking. Tennessee's last two performances (particularly the last one) were ok (aTm) to awful (bama). Auburn's last two performances were dominant. LSU's last two performances were dominant (albeit less than Auburn's). There is a fluidity to power rankings. One team doesn't have to lose for another team to jump them. Regardless this is likely to change 5 more times over the next 5 weeks.

Butch Stones...does Tenn beat Auburn or LSU straight up in Knoxville tomorrow? Ole Sarge, same question.

You can't really use dominant when referring to Southern Miss....

Dub, I'm not trying to cause a fuss here...I'm not the one upset over where my team is. I wouldn't be upset if Tenn was ahead of LSU. I'm just trying to provide reasoning as to why LSU/Auburn may have moved ahead of Tenn from some folks minds on the PR Voting Committee.

We went to double OT with backups against a team that beat the shite out of you so how bad must that make Auburn?

Didn't realize that losing by 13pts is "beat the shite out of" quality.

So what exactly do you call what Bama did to Tennesse? Or what A&M was doing to you before they fumbled out of the back of the endzone to go from up 14 (more than 13) to tied?

Care to elaborate on why LSU is a yes and Auburn is a no?

Ignoring the H2H game (which Auburn statistically dominated), Auburn has clearly outperformed LSU which nearly every stat supports

Sarge, what do you base this on? Not trying to argue, trying to rationalize. Eye test plays in a ton more in power rankings. Of course I could be a homer, but it looks like LSU is a better football team than Tennessee and so is auburn. I think if Tenn were in the West, they would be ahead of Miss St...and maybe Arky. That's all I see.
