Btw I'm presenting this with no slant or bias. I honestly want to know how this breaks down.

You know that both are a little different issues, right? One has potential civil/criminal implications while the other is just straight arse cheating.

I upvoted.

Maybe not the best choice of words, at least from UT's end

I feel like people truly don't understand the difference between civil and legal in regards to the law. Civil lawsuits can basically be brought forward for any reason.

UT's is civil, which basically means someone is wanting monetary compensation from the university. There have been no laws or rules broken there. Literally no chance UT will get in any NCAA trouble over this. May end up losing some money over court/lawyer fees.

Ole Miss has broken rules. They will definitely receive some form of non-monetary punishment.

I understand that perfectly well. I'm also of the opinion that rape or sexual assault are 100x more despicable than any type of NCAA violation. If they went back and actually found something that could prove the suspects guilty, I would be very disappointed. But I still think that Butch and staff handled the situation about as well as possible, so I would still see it as something to hold against those individuals and not our program.

To me, this makes the plaintiffs look like total POS's. They weren't involved in any way in these alleged incidents, and yet they want to get money out of them. Seems awful dishonest to me.

I mean, did he keep any of the accused (not indicted or convicted, mind you) players on the team? NO.

UT - doesn't have the money to pay for what this civil suit against Title IV will cost them (and will look bad on their image)

OM - gonna get 2 year postseason ban and lose 20 scholarships over 3 years

Both fricked...OM fricked more. Upvote

OM will go on probation and lose a few scholarships.

UTK will agree to implement sexual assault awareness training a la FSU.

Thanks for your concern, but this team will bring in many millions this season. Cash on hand will never be a problem again. Based on recent arrest records, y'all need to be more concerned about what your thugs are doin.
