who is understandably upset....no less than a four point swing in a very close contest. Missed call was Gonzaga player's hand blocked shot by going inside the rim, was inadvertent but happened nonetheless...ouch

It's the young brace wearing kid's fault.
Fact.

Coach shouldn't have run out onto the court.

The icing on the cake was him getting in the way of the ref. I've seen coaches go on the court, probably just a warning

He physically was in the path of the ref going back down teh court

And what was he supposed to do? The idiot ref already blew the most basic of calls. That wasn't even close. The NCAA has already admitted he blew it. I guess he could have tried to call a time out when they got the ball and politely discussed it with the officials. That's why basketball needs an official on the sidelines watching the video monitor for obvious blown calls like that. He should be watching and have the authority to stop the game and correct the call. Not on judgement stuff, but clear cut misses like that. That wasn't questionable. And where was the other ref who should have stepped in a made the call? NCAA officiating in all sports sucks!

Terribly missed call. But you have to call that tech. He ran way out on the court during play.

He just compounded it by getting a T. Took it from a 2 point swing to 4. He had no chance to win that arguement.

What did he expect to accomplish? When has a ref EVER changed their call after a coach ran up to them yelling?

What is it with former Duke players-turned head coaches thinking they are still allowed to play in MBB games on the court????

Yep, they said the call was not a reviewable call....so he couldn't ask them to review it on replay and over-turn the call. Best thing is hope that the ref realized he screwed up, or the other refs realizing it, and then NW get a make-up call on the other end....

But a golden rule is: no matter how badly the refs screw up calls, DO NOT show them up on the court. They may already be embarrassed because they know they screwed up, and don't want to hear about it from a player or coach. Or maybe they are just POSs. But you run out onto the floor like that, and you're just begging the guy to ring you up....

He was yelling at the wrong official. The official in that spot has no business even looking at the goal. The two other officials have to make that call.

Referee is one of only two jobs in the entire world where you can keep your job despite being terrible at it.

The other one is politician.
