After the first weekend what is everyone's thoughts on this game?
This will be State's first test of the season, as Tennessee looks vastly improved from last year.

agreed, both teams should coast until that point.

It's better for the overall conference that both Tennessee and State are back to being in the uppercrust of the SEC.

Bulldogs should come down from cloud nine at about 2:30 on Saturday.
I expect more, "Why didn't Mullen _____?" Then, the fans will start getting embarrassed that they even dared questioning Dan the Man and jump back on the "Mullen is never wrong about anything hur hur we still beet tSUN" bandwagon.

If our secondary gives Tennessee the cooshion we gave JSU we are in big trouble vs Bray. However I think our scheme vs JSU was über vanilla

We played one coverage vs JSU the whole game and its one we wont even use against Auburn or Tennessee unless its 3rd and 20+
We are going to play man-free vs Auburn and make Frazier throw the football

Not too worried about UTEP. They got gassed when Oklahoma went no huddle. Our offense was so vanilla on Saturday and still had 550+ yards offense.
The defense played poorly but Central Arkansas isn't a team like Jackson State. They're pretty talented. Comparing the two is like comparing a team like New Mexico State to Oregon just because they compete in the FBS.

Yes, last year and the year before. I still remember the "Make Him Regret" posters about Cam.
State will once again get out coached because the teams are very similar. The fans will initially criticize Mullen but then slowly and gradually get sucked back in to his irrationale of being so close blah blah blah.

I think Mullen's a good coach though, I was hoping to get him once Meyer's heart went out again.

That is exactly how we need to play UT. Keep them in front of us. I don't want to see Banks end up looking like Amerson @ the 30 second mark.
