How do you assess the season as whole with regards to your team and the future?

Season was consistent for us.
We never got better.
Won the super bowl in August.
Coasted the rest of the season.

Nobody gives a shite about .500 east teams playing in shite bowl games against the sisters of the poor.
And when they win they brag and boast like they deserved a playoff spot.

It effectively ended last night. The SEC stunk it up in bowl play, and now a pac10 team will win a title. Season was a SEC bust.

We could be on the verge of playoff contention or struggling to make a bowl. The future is a complete unknown.

For UK I will say that the season was great and bad at the same time. I only expected 4 wins all season, and they were a ref helped loss to UF from starting the season 6-0.
The slide to 5-7 was tough, but the schedule was brutal.

If Stoops has another top 20 recruiting class, added to the youth that played this year, UK will be much improved next year. UK is headed in the right direction.

the season was quite lovely and refreshing, imo. i watched my team improve every week, even during the losing streak they continued to play with fire in their bellies and never gave up. then we demolished texas in the bowl (even if they sucked, it was still fab because it was the horns).

I agree. Arky showed the most improvement from beginning to end.

Disappointing year obviously.

Should have a chance to compete for the SECW next season, but work to do. More worried about cultural issues (toughness, penalties, discipline), but doesn't look too dire yet.

As an LSU fan, the decline is real...I don't see Les ever joining the 21st century and making the QB position better. That will continue to hold us back. I think we hire a great DC and hire Coach Ed Orgeron. That will help keep LA recruits in state. Problem will still be Miles and Cameron.

another 8-5 season again next year.

LSU football is looking great going forward.

A little development at QB, and a decent hire at DC/DL. . .

LSU could be a playoff team next year

Spent all of winter, spring and summer prepping for The Flagship.

We spent unlimited resources, but felt like the first 7 plans would not defeat The Flagship so we scrapped preparations A through G and used Preparation H extensively on Arkansas. It worked well on the whole.
