Just like it was God's will for Cam to steal that laptop and cheat on those tests, it was a part of God's plan to accept 200k to go to Auburn. Its also a part of God's plan to lie about it.

Yeah, he totally misused that quote. It isn't about football or personal accomplishments. It's about the love of God and salvation.

I'm a pastor too and it's fairly obvious he and his family have a little different view of the Bible than I do.

Justified or not, you have any idea what it has/had to be like for him and his family to have such a cloud hanging over his head despite all the great accomplishments he was hanging? You're pretty cold for a preacha man.
And by the way, "The wise man" was his father so he was honoring his father. Regardless of what his father is, THAT, in itself, is a good thing to see from kids.
