I'm sure they do. We tried during the Tub years, but they turned us down. They're trying to expand their recruiting down south.

Not sure if getting your arse kicked by a team in the south would help out their reach to southern athletes. Maybe they should stick to sending 477 letters to kids.

They scurred. They don't wanna get "embarrassed" by losing the recruiting war for a top 5 recruit to Vanderbilt. I'd love to see a Notre Dame-Vandy series. Again, ND probably too nervous to lose to a traditional bottom-feeder.

I'd like to play ND in a bowl game. We could beat them right now and could have beat them last year too, esp early on. They're pretty much a middle of the road ACC team.

The two games between LSU and ND in '97 were pretty good.

WTF is this shite? Are you retarded? Academic prestige is not measured by the number of astronauts a school has produced. Good grief.

So Academic prestige would be more accurately gauged by elements such as the University's Honors College, correct?

Good. Glad we established that. Because guess who DOES NOT have the #1 Honors College in the nation?

Ding! Ding! Ding! Correct. Notre Dame.

Now...guess who DOES have the #1 Honors College in the nation...and which conference they represent.

Correct answer? The University of South Carolina...proudly representing the SEC.

They'll just schedule Kentucky or Moo State. They don't want the big dogs.

Surprised that getting that skull dragging from Alabama wasn't enough for them.

Maybe they are just talking now because they know the schedule only works for a couple of the weaker SEC teams.

Probably Tennessee.

This better be home and home.

Every time ND wanted two home games to one at Jordan-Hare...or it was play them at a neutral site for our home game and then go to their house to complete the "home-and-home".

Yeah, that's common when a lower tier program approaches a top tier program for series.

LSU had no problem scheduling a home and away series in the 70's with ND, two series in the 80's, and one in the 90s. But then LSU has the benefit of one of the historically preeminent venues for football in Tiger Stadium.

Seriously doubt this. You have to understand the typical Domer mentality to know they would look to far down their noses to allow that to happen. It probably pains the Irish that they will now have to play the Cards with the ACC contract.

Remember tamu before they joined the SEC, and there was the osu beat down in the sugar bowl. I hate to bring this one up but usc beat the breaks off the fatbacks.

Your fatbacks has embarassed the SEC enough with their play vs ooc top bcs teams.

Notre Dame is a private institution and not included in the rankings referred to.

Notre Dame only has one open spot in its schedule for a road game and that is filled through the 2020 season."

^^^ means they only want an SEC team that will travel to South Bend and after 2020 they would make return trips, which we all know they would back out of the return trip. Basically, they want to trick us southerners to play them up there only. They get the exposure and a home game vs SEC, they have no intention of playing a game down South.

frick them!

You can get a team coming to you instead of going to them. I'd do that all the time. Plus the south is the south
