This offseason has a chance to be absolutely nuts with these monster jobs open. I don't think you guys will, but if y'all lose 3 of the 4 to Ole Miss, Bama, LSU and Tennessee would Sumlin make it?

Yes

ETA: I also feel a 9 win season secures him until the end of his contract. He has do win the SEC by 2018 or he needs to go.

It really depends on how he loses.

If we get blown out in any of those games, and we lose 3, it's not so certain.

Why on earth would you fire a guy in the SEC West for 3 losses?

He'd be 46-19 overall and 22-18 in the SEC in 5 years there. Average 9-4 (4-4/5-3) season.

Aggie are in the midway point of our "Wanting to get rid of Miles" saga.

We tried to get rid of Les for 4 or 5 years and then finally we got our wish. A&M is on about year 3 of its up and down roller coaster of what to do with Sumlin.

You're why we can't have nice things. It was an honest question.

nope... not if i'm an admin. We MUST beat LSU. If we lose to Bama and/or Tennessee we must beat LSU and OM.

Sumlin has a contract that ends in 2018. He has a lot of young talent and with the way things are going this year, should have more in the pipeline as we progress. 2017 will be a 9-3 ceiling. 2018 is the year he will have everything set up for him. If he can't do it this year or in 2018, he will never get it done and I would hope the athletic department would then decide to find a new coach.
