This is fricking ridiculous. Bruce Pearl is available and we KEEP Anthony fricking Grant because he has EARNED a chance?!?! How the frick do they figure that?!?! This bullshite wouldnt be happening if Mal was still alive.

Nope. I will go tailgate on the quad, use their facilities, suck up their electricity to power my tv, refuse to help clean up other peoples trash after the game like I normally do, and hold my finger out the window as I'm leaving.

MELT! But yes this was a horrible decision to retain Grant. I never supported hiring Bill Battle to begin with. Grant will be fired in a year anyways. There is nothing realistic he could do next year to keep his job. Hell, even if he went from 13-19 to 19-13 next year, that would be a huge improvement, but not enough to keep his job. Releford was the only thing keeping this from being single digit wins season. Now he is gone.

Unfortunately there are no guarantees that there will be any quality coaches available next year. This year you have one of about as good quality as we have a chance at sitting there as a free agent. Retaining him another year and missing out on even the possibility of replacing him with Pearl is 100% ironclad evidence that Bill Battle neither cares for, nor has any fricking business in our athletic department. He is a strict business man and nothing more.

Eh, I hate the team boards. Everybody keeps the real conversations there instead of on the rant where they belong. makes the rant suck. I try to keep all my conversations here. It might be as un-noticed as my small donations to the program but both will be missed when they are gone, if only just a little bit.

Which is the WRONG decision. An athletic dept is about more than just the bottom line. Its not a corporation. It's an athletic dept.
