Everybody rank the 8 teams that haven't won a conference title in order of chance they'll do it this year. I realize it's very unlikely to happen, but it should make an interesting comparison.

1. Arkansas - While an East team might be more likely to win the division than Arkansas is to win the west,if Arkansas wins the West they'll have a much better shot to win the title game.

2. Mississippi - The reasoning here is the same as Arkansas, I just think Arkansas has a better shot at winning the west.

3. Missouri - They've won the east 2 years in a row and they at least have a shot to do it again this year. I don't think they could take the west opponent however.

4. South Carolina - Not a good shot, but still a shot.

5. Mississippi State - I don't think they have much of a shot at all to win the West. They're in the bottom 4 which I give no realistic shot at all.

6. Texas A&M - They don't have a shot to win the west but might be improved. They play in a division where improvement might still drop them in the standings to last.

7. Kentucky - I can't envision a world where they win the east then beat the western team. They're better than Vanderbilt though.

8. Vanderbilt - If they win an SEC game whoever loses to them is bad and should feel bad.

Winning just 1 SEC title doesn't get you in the club

Yeah but one fluke season doesn't get you in. It would just be an asterix of a season

lolz. The next time one of you scrubs wins an SEC title doesn't mean there's a new big-whatever. The "big 6" is based upon 100 years of football. It doesn't change overnight.

It's there because only 6 SEC teams have won the conference EVER. Not just in the championship game era since 1992.

Edit: I was wrong. State in 1941, Ole Miss in 1963 and Kentucky in 1976 are the others.

Nobody is joining the Big 6. But to win a tittle, it would be

1) Arky
2) A&M
3) Missouri
4) Ole Miss
5) MSU
6) SCAR
7) UK
8) Vandy

In fact, Arky, A&M and perhaps Missouri are all more likely than UT, UF or LSU.

With Arkansas's defense and Allen at QB I don't give them much of a chance at all. I think the ceiling is 9 wins and I don't that evens happens.

I can see Ole Miss having the chance to, I guess.

State's chance was 2014. They'll take a step back this year.

Mizzou has the best chance to win the division. If they just keep getting there, they'll eventually breakthrough. They'll be the underdog for sure though. The West is just that much better than the East.

While we appreciate your interest in our club, we are not extending invitations this fall. We encourage you to reapply next year for consideration. Thank you and have a blessed day.

The last "non-Big 6" team to outright win the SEC was Ole Miss IIRC

Yeah. Not sure what I was thinking. But Kentucky was the last to win a conference title outside of the Big Six. That was 1976.
