Les Miles should send L7 a written apology for costing him the Heisman last year and probably this year as well. NOLA called it last month that if Miles doesn't change the offense, it is going to cost the best player in college football the Heisman 2 years in a row. Here are some of the prophetic comments made in August:

Brett McMurphy, ESPN.com: "The Heisman has turned into the best player on the best team award - or at least the best player on a team in the top 10. He's not winning the Heisman on an 8-4 LSU team."

Jon Solomon, CBSsports.com: "My cynical opinion: Fournette better be in the SEC Championship Game and LSU better be in playoff contention."

Bender: "If LSU fades completely from the SEC West race and Les Miles' future becomes an issue, then Fournette will have trouble winning it."

Mark Schlabach, ESPN.com: "He needs more help from LSU's passing game, so opponents can't load the box to stop him, like they did last year."

McMurphy: "LSU loses games they shouldn't. It's not that it's necessarily a negative against Fournette, it's just that the stars on the top 10 teams will get more attention and leapfrog him."

I legit feel bad for the kid that he plays in a Miles coached offense. If Harris and the play calling don't get better in a hurry he's going to be SOL.

Derrick Henry stood up and took the Heisman last year. Miles didn't cost Fournette anything.

The best player in football makes everybody around him better. They don't need excuses made for why they can't do things. They have reasons for doing things to help win.

He was fricking unreal last year and led the nation in YPG, broke basically every LSU record there is, and is getting a ton of positive publicity.

He is going to be just fine cashing checks in the NFL.

Leonard's a smart kid. If he was interested in the Heisman then he would have attended a different U.

Are you kidding me? You could poll the other 13 SEC school fans and I bet Overwhelmingly the response would be that L7 would have won the Heisman last year playing for Bama. The main reason is that Henry would have been his back-up.

LF7 should have done his homework and signed with Bama. He would be the man this year, win the heisman, and be a 1st round lock in the draft....not to mention all the rings he would have collected.

You may be right, The latest Heisman Watch has 10 players listed and L7 is not one of them. Players like, Patrick Mahomes III, Lamar Jacksom & Greg Ward Jr.--Who the hell are they?

LF got 176 yards Saturday. He is on his way to being the highest running back drafted in the draft, and an overall top 5 pick. Why are people acting like LSU has let him down in anyway? He is 1 of very few people who Miles and LSU has actually not let down

And LF will be drafted ahead of him. So, I guess you think Miles has been great for LF then? He has made him a higher draft pick than a better player

Trent Richardson went 3rd, 28 spots ahead of Doug Martin.

Why is the draft relevant?

Really? Players play to get drafted. Everyone is saying LSU has let him down, when that isnt close to being true
