Missouri is even worse. The Show-Me State is also sending two programs, the University of Missouri and Saint Louis. Saint Louis gets nothing, while the Tigers account for just three of the state's 114 counties (3 percent). That's fewer than went for Duke (five), Illinois (seven), UNC (13), or Kansas (78, or 68 percent). Butler, a mid-major two states away, picks up two counties despite not winning any in Indiana.

Very few counties in which the majority feel like Missouri will win the championship.

Sounds smart after this season.

It's based on how many peopled "liked" a given team on facebook, not who they think will win the touranment.

The bigger question will be how many Mizzourah fans show up in Lexington this weekend?

I live in new Jersey and we never get a team in the NCAA. Rutgers nor since 20th century Princeton back in the Carril days and occasionally a mid major. But can't read the map. I can see South Jersey for Villanova but North Jersey doesn't care about Iona or LIU.

Who did Hudson County, NJ go for (land of the Statue Liberty)

Well I seem to recall the UK folk saying after Mizzou's game there this year that Mizzou fans were there in greater numbers than any other conference road team in Rupp this year. Will see if that trend continues for the Dance.

I didn't read the link so I don't know how or where they are pulling their data from, but Mizzou basketball doesn't have an official page on facebook. kansas does.

Mizzou athletics (official page) has 357,100 likes
kansas athletics (official page) has 115,500 likes

Mizzou basketball (unofficial) has 68,500 likes
kansas basketball (official page) has 127,000 likes

More Mizzou fans like our official general athletics page

More kansas fans like their official basketball page than their general page.

Thought that was interesting.

This makes sense. They're doing it by county and using the amount of likes for individual team basketball pages.

This is the one they used for Mizzou: LINK

Are you retarded??

I'm a pretty big Mizzou fan but don't have them 'liked' on facebook.

This is pretty stupid.

Or is more likely that most Mizzou fans are not fans of Facebook?

Yeah that being said.... Rupp tickets are hard to get.... and why would the rest of the SEC travel for a game they will likely lose when they don't give a shite to begin with.

Yeah, I don't think it really works for NCAA. There is a Gator basketball fanpage with several thousand likes, but the official Gator athletics facebook page has well over 1 million likes. If they didn't use that, what does the map really show you? You really want me to believe there are more UNC fans in Orlando then Florida fans?

Die in a fire, idiot. I didn't make the map. It's not my fault your janky athletic department can't figure out how to make a facebook page.
