Keep telling yourself that. No one really loves Starkville. You've got to be kidding.

This is the case for about 90% of coaches. They still move on when bigger and better programs come calling.

There is always talk about how coaches love life at a mid-level program. And yet, how many of those successful coaches ultimately resist the call of bigger programs?

Why would he want to make a downward move to the dumpster fire at A&M?

And it's highly doubtful A&M would want him.
But someone will.
Most jobs in the country are more appealing than any in Mississippi.
I like State; I wish for their sake they were located elsewhere.

Mullen would never go to a school that allows their booster organizations to affect football decisions so the would include: Auburn, Texas A&M, Tennessee and Ole Miss.

Megan would never live anywhere that had fans verbally threaten you in public so that includes Florida (verified) and LSU (documented) and Texas A&M (verified).

So Arkansas, Alabama, South Carolina, Jawga, Vanderbilt and Kentucky are all good

That rationale has been given for almost every coach who's ever changed jobs.
Who knows, maybe he'll stick around for a couple more years?
But don't be blind.

The real reason he wouldn't leave is job security.

The programs that will pay him more will also have much higher expectations. LSU and Georgia just fired 2 of the best coaches in their schools history. They both had like a 75% winning percentage.

Seriously State fans...this year is far different than the last 9 years. Many sharks are in the water this year. The best you can do is hope your SEC brethren end their seasons on a high note and don't steal your coach.
