Two high school coaches, one who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said there will be no boycott of LSU football by local schools after the demotion of running backs coach Jabbar Juluke. Juluke was re-assigned to another unspecified job in the athletic department last Thursday, the day after national signing day. Several local high school coaches will meet Thursday night, but a source said that Juluke’s dismissal is only “ten percent of the meeting.” “There is no boycott of LSU,” said St James high school coach Robert Valdez. “I did talk to coach Orgeron and expressed my concerns. We had a great conversation.” Valdez was a college teammate of Juluke’s at Southern University. Tuesday afternoon Juluke was re-hired by Texas Tech as its running backs coach. Juluke will also serve as associate head coach. A coach who chose to remain anonymous said that reports of a boycott are “way overblown.” “Why would we boycott LSU?,” said the coach. “We have kids who want to play there.”

Won't matter, all of the NOLA recruits will end up at Kansas with or without a boycott

As I pointed out to a poster in a thread referencing Paul Lamebaum incredible insight, this was all much ado about nothing,

Lamebaum knows absolutely nothing. The SEC Network made him an "authority" when he is actually a fricking hack.

Alabama did just fine recruiting the state of Louisiana without a boycott in the first place.

No argument there, things happen during coaching staff changes.

How many of those Bama signed were from NOLA? I'll hang up and listen...

Good, I'm sick of people trying to strong-arm others, if they don't like a decision that's made. Coach O made a decision that he thought was best for his team. Screw anyone who don't like it.

It remains to be seen what the impact of all this is. Whatever it is , it is not a positive for LSU. The impression on many people is that LSU has returned to form ... shunned by New Orleans and N. Louisiana... for cause.

And what about that vindictive coach "O?" He clearly waited until NSD and immediately fired two coaches who probably crossed him when he was pulled out of the long-time unemployed ranks and given a token job that morphed into head coach.

He may "talk like one of us..." if you are from one small section of the State. But he doesn't talk like a New Orleanian, or a North Lousianian... And now he has left a bad impression on a lot of impressionable minds.

The massive level of denial and attempts at distraction by LSU fans on this board is proof how serious this is/was. Of course there couldn't be a formal boycott... but it remains to be seen how many prospects from New Orleans choose to go elsewhere. That will play out over the next few years.

How many elite recruits has Bama ever got from New Orleans over the past ten years?

Wasn't Coach O on the staff the year before these 2 coaches were?

Or

This has been blown way out of proportion than it actually is, and everything you just said was created in your own mind. You may actually be looney tunes man.
