C-USA confirmed it.

For those who are happy about it, there you go.

ESPN had reported earlier in the week that no bowl was going to touch a cancelled program, so I guess it should not be a surprise.

Pretty Fricking ugly black eye for the system. They handled this like shite, whether the ending of the program was warranted or not.

It is what it is.

At this point I think it does really suck for those players and coaches though.

That's dumb. It would have been smart for a small bowl to take UAB. Losing their program has been national news and it would have brought a lot more publicity than Western Kentucky vs Central Michigan.

I am actually very interested in it.

The financial report was a piece of nonsense that was intended to get them the answer they wanted. I don't think that has anything to do with the trolling reasons presented on this board. But is interesting nonetheless.

They didn't even have fans at their home games. How well would they have traveled?

6-6 shouldn't be in a bowl game anyway. (sorry Arky)

I would like to see UAB continue to play football, but let's be realistic.

By this you mean UAB didn't get one of c-usa's bowl tie ins? That was already a given. They can still get an at large.

USA is going. Maybe bear jr should call them and try to cancel their team too.

UAB big doner alumni are mega pissed and your POS chancellor is toast. Calling him a Mfer liar all over the news.

Yea, I don't get all the sadness here. A few years ago, anyone who lived in Alabama would tell you that UAB's football program was terrible. I often heard that it should be discontinued. It may have improved some since, but now people are crying because they got their wish.

6-6 shouldn't be in a bowl and neither should 7-5 or 8-4. And while you say that you'd like to see it continue, would you actually go to the games?

The players and coaches will find new homes and all will be well, so stop with the drama, please.
