I can foresee the very real possibility that Nick pulls the rip cord and ejects from Tuscaloosa after this season. Where that parachute will land, well, that has to play out, but I don’t suspect T-Town will be Nick’s final coaching stop.

He better not come anywhere near the B1G!

Saban is not going anywhere this year...or probably for the next three. When he does, Kirby Smart is the replacement. Watch.

No chance Saban's ego, like Bowden, JoPa, The Bear, etc will force him to coach too long sadly.

Bear didn't stay too long. Saban won't either. He's in great shape physically. As long as he doesn't feel mentally trapped to sustain and can enjoy the teams success in and of itself why would he leave?

Nick has never been happy, has always been miserable, and always is frustrated. In other words, same ole same ole.

I think he's more frustrated with the press than anything. Nothing directly football related. Who can blame him with the stupid questions they ask him.

"Nick, I know you are the best coach in the best division of the best conference in the country but...are you suuuuuure you know what you're doing? I mean you didn't even win a NC last year. And you still don't know who will start at QB?! What's up with that?"

If it were just about football he'd stay until he died. Just depends on how long he's willing to put up with the media's projected fan expectations.

Except he has seemed more mellow year after year.

Disclaimer: The article is of course another bait article for people, so I am aware of that. I just wish they would've thrown in something more enticing, like "Saban to Notre Dame" or something.

Bear Bryant was only 69 when he died just 2 months after he coached his last game. He quit for the sake of the team at the right time.

Besides the obvious upside for SEC fans of Saban leaving the SEC, the other big upside is that Finebaum's show would be cancelled as he no longer would have anything/one to talk about on it. The downside being that that story line would be Finebaum's complete show for the rest of the football season.
