A&M to fire Sumlin and hire Saban.

Heads down in the 40 Acres proceed to explode.

Well, there can't actually be a reportable fact to support it short of Saban going in front of a camera and saying "Im unhappy. I'm miserable. I'm frustrated". Everything else is conjecture and not factual.

here's another thing

if you're a reporter and you have coaches giving you their opinions off the record, isn't this basically the best way to get them to distance themselves from you?

I should have become a journalist.

To Whom It May Concern:

I have a feeling that Saban is quitting this year, and John Gruden is not long for the MNF booth. Look, I'm not saying it is a done deal that he takes over, but I'm also NOT NOT saying it either.

More likely he is still pissed about how he lost to Urban last season.

Frankly, the pressure is never going to go away at Alabama it just is what it is.....

ESPN has built an empire doing it this way.

can’t support it by reportable facts, and of course there is no pressure from the administration; but from folks in the profession, I keep hearing “Nick isn’t happy,” “Nick seems miserable,” “Nick is very frustrated,” and I can foresee the very real possibility that Nick pulls the rip cord and ejects from Tuscaloosa after this season.

Saban is not going anywhere this year...or probably for the next three. When he does, Kirby Smart is the replacement. Watch.

So, in other words, nothing is out of the ordinary. Why does that lead the author to believe that he's gone?

Which do you think would be larger? The meltdown in Ttown or the celebration in Baton Rouge?
