Anyone else heard that the Falcons have asked to talk to Saban?

This would be the most Atlanta thing ever to find a new creative way to screw me and my sports teams.

If this were to happen, sports talk radio in Atlanta would be even more unbearable than it already is. Jesus, I can just envision 680 the Fan and Buck and Kincaid talking to Dan Reeves' corpse about the move every Monday for the next 8 months.

Yep, it's a done deal. Saban isn't even coaching the iron bowl.

Kirby has been offered the job for 11mm per year.

Saban turned down roughly $10M to coach at one of the most elite college football programs in history, yet he would accept an NFL gig (which he has already tried and did not like) to coach a shitty team with no real super bowl potential?

Seems legit.

I think Saban will head to the NFL when he can't physically keep up with the demands of recruiting, be he doesn't look anywhere close to that -- maybe in 10 years

Haha the best part is the premise of the October reports of this was because he was "close with the Falcons front office". You know, the guys who are about to get fired. Makes sense.

He's going simply because of Julio. The bond between them is that special.
