Can I ask for a link? I read the Julio jones and all it said was "I can win with you or without you."

I could try, but I'm on my phone and don't feel like it. Can't be hard. You can easily find every player we've signed. Just good interviews with them.

If he promised any PT, you would think at least one person would get pissed off and go to the media with it. Hasn't happened yet.

I think the issue was transferring mid-season and leaving his team in a possible bind when there really wasn't a ton of difference in whether he left now or in January.

there is, though. he'll be able to play after 4 games into the season next year with the way the rules are set up. Sure it may put Saban in a bind; however, it helps Barnett more to not have to sit the entire season next year. He can find an FBS school where he can essentially play the majority of next season. Of course those situations don't always work out, but it's Barnett's life, not Saban's. Saban shouldn't want someone on the team that's unhappy.

if you don't have any facts to back your argument, just make up a couple.

He says they will be given an opportunity to compete for playing time and there have been a lot of freshman who have come in and won significant playing time in their first season, others had to wait a bit before getting significant time or starting positions. It's not a hard concept.

We focus on what is directly in front of us, not end results. We want you, but know that we will win with or without you.

According to several former and current Alabama players, this is how Saban seals recruiting deals.

its bleacher report, but first link that came up when googled

Yes - It puts Saban and the team in a bind. The OP called him a POS for criticizing his leaving. Bama and Saban invested a lot in BB8 and he has a role that is absolutely critical to the team this season. It's not the role BB8 wants but that is what he signed up for when he committed to Bama.

Everyone gets Barnett's reasoning and doing what he feels is best for him. However, to say that Saban doesn't have a legitimate gripe here is not being reasonable....and I think you can see why Hurts won the job and it wasn't just because of his mobility.

I don't think people have any issue with Saban being upset about Barnett leaving. No coach would be happy about it. What people are saying is it wasn't appropriate for Saban to say what he did to the media. An appropriate comment would be something along the lines of "Barnett made a decision that he felt was best for him and we wish him well in his future endeavors" and then left it at that. But Saban has made a habit of not taking the high road with transfers and makes sure to blast them publicly when they leave. As others have said, it's just not a good look. Not that it will affect Saban one way or the other in the future, but sometimes some things are better left unsaid.

Everyone freaking job hops. I've changed jobs before, and I'm pretty sure most of the people in this thread have job hopped at least once in their life. How many of us put in a two week notice or gave some kind of notice to our employer that we were leaving? How many of us were dicks and just left the day after we said bye, thus disallowing our employer ample time to find a replacement?

Yeah...Saban job hopped before but at least he had the courtesy to jump to a new job at the end of the season - not after four games.

yeah he had the "courtesy" of putting in his notice to LSU Christmas day after he'd been dragging his feet for a month whether to take the Miami job, putting LSU in a tough spot trying to find an available head coach. Skip Bertman went into great detail earlier this week about the situation Saban put LSU in.

What he said makes sense to me. This country is so pussified that someone can't say the truth without the freakin' PC crowd worried about hurting someone's feelings. Please.
